Delete your account and data
LifeSync · last updated 13 August 2026
If you still have the app installed, this is instant and you do not need this page: open LifeSync → Settings → Account → Delete my account & data.
This page is for everyone else — if you have uninstalled the app, lost or replaced your phone, or would simply rather not install it again.
Request deletion by email
Email [email protected] from the email address you signed in with, with the subject "LifeSync account deletion request".
We reply to confirm, then delete. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. We ask you to send it from the signed-in address because it is the only way we can tell it is really your account — we hold no other identifying information about you.
What gets deleted
| What | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your sign-in (account identity) | Deleted. Signing in again creates a brand-new, empty account. |
| Groups where you are the only admin | Deleted, along with everything in them — plans, logs, shared files. |
| Groups with another admin | The group stays; your membership and your shared entries are removed. |
| Your synced records and uploads | Deleted. |
| Device registrations and pending sync data | Deleted, for every device — not just the one you asked from. |
| Data stored only on your phone | Removed when you uninstall the app. Nothing on your device is sent to us. |
Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery window and no archived copy — we cannot restore an account after this, and because your content is end-to-end encrypted we could not read it to reconstruct it even if we kept it.
One part only you can delete: your Google Drive backup
LifeSync stores your encrypted backup in your own Google Drive, in the hidden area Drive reserves for apps. It is your file in your account — we have no access to it, which is the same reason we cannot read your data. So we cannot delete it for you, and no deletion request can.
To remove it yourself:
- Go to drive.google.com → ⚙ Settings
- Open Manage apps
- Find LifeSync → Options → Delete hidden app data
What we keep, and for how long
Nothing that identifies you. Server logs may retain a request timestamp and IP address for up to 30 days as a routine security measure; these are not linked to your account after it is deleted. Encrypted file fragments with no key and no owner may persist in backing storage until routine cleanup removes them — they are unreadable by anyone, including us.
